1byone 10,000 mAh Power Bank: Sleek and Informative

Power banks are something that are becoming more and more essential. We are surrounded by electronics. Just glancing around my mobile workspace, I see my wireless earbuds, my smartwatch, and my phone: all items that need charging. Right next to my phone is the 1byone 10,000 mAh power bank, which is happily charging away at the massive 4,000 mAh battery inside my Huawei Mate 8.

Power banks are self-explanatory. You plug your desired device into the USB port, and the device starts charging. Most power banks will have a set of LED indicators that show the remaining battery percentage, but determining if it is at 24% or 4% can be a challenge. That’s where the 1byone power bank beats the competition. Towards the bottom of the power bank there is an LCD display that shows the current battery percentage, the voltage and amperage of the port the device is plugged into, and if the device is charging or discharging (displayed by in or out).

Two ports aren’t uncommon on power banks over 10,000 mAh capacity, and this is no exception. The port on the left is 5.0 volts, 2.1 amps. 5.0 volts, 1 amp can be found via the right port. In the center, you’ll find the micro-USB charging port to juice up the power pack itself. I’m not a huge fan of this design—many users won’t know the difference between the two. Anker’s Power IQ, which automatically determines the best settings for the device currently being charged, is what I find to be more useful. However, this method works and the clear labels on the LCD display are certainly helpful.

Form factor and design are always aspects of a product that I look for. The 1byone power bank does not leave me disappointed; it is quite thin and has a neat pattern on the top that is both minimalistic and interesting at the same time. The size of this power bank is definitely larger than other similarly sized power banks that I own, but it makes up for that in the thin design, which is great for sliding it in a laptop bag.

Overall, this is solid power bank. The mAh offered is plenty to charge several devices while not taking up a ton of space. Multiple USB ports are fantastic, and the LCD display is perfect for those who want to be sure of how much more juice they can get. The product itself is built quite sturdily and is sure to get plenty of use, no matter your situation.

Ease of Use

The 1byone power bank is a great option that serves many uses. The LCD indicator is super useful and perfect for those who like to know exactly how much juice they have left. However, the different voltage of USB ports can be confusing to some users.
