Verizon has long been touted as the best mobile carrier in the USA. Due to such, they’re trying to get any business they lost over the holidays back. T-Mobile started the trend of paying off your ETF (early termination fees) and buying your phone back from you, and many companies followed suit. Verizon is the latest to follow this trend of giving customers money to switch, up to $650 per line, and up to 4 total lines. According to the press release from Verizon, 87 percent of T-Mobile customers and 86 percent of Sprint customers who switched back to Verizon within six months of leaving Verizon. The customers returned because they said the network coverage and quality were superior.
If you got a cell phone from another carrier this holiday season, Verizon wants you to swing into your local store so they can try and get you set up on a new plan, buy your old phone, and pay your ETF. Oh, did we mention they’re giving all customers that come over 2GB more data, FOR LIFE! Now, you have to get their XL or XXL plan in order to qualify for this, but even still, Verizon is giving you bonus data, just for switching.
